Comprehensive Commercial Heating Services

System Diagnosis & Thermal Load Testing

Our technicians conduct comprehensive thermal load testing to evaluate your heating system’s efficiency. By identifying inefficiencies such as airflow blockages, mechanical failures, and areas with excessive energy consumption, we ensure your system operates at optimal performance. A detailed diagnosis minimizes future breakdowns and helps you address problems early, extending the lifespan of your heating system.

Commercial Furnace Repairs

Furnace issues like ignition failures, overheating, or restricted airflow can disrupt your business environment. Our team specializes in furnace repairs, including burner adjustments, heat exchanger replacements, and airflow system recalibrations. These repairs help restore functionality, improve energy efficiency, and ensure your furnace delivers reliable heating, keeping your business space comfortable year-round.

Rooftop HVAC Unit Maintenance

Rooftop HVAC units are crucial for commercial buildings with complex heating and cooling needs. Regular maintenance ensures that these units continue to function smoothly. Our services include cleaning coils, replacing belts, inspecting electrical components, and checking for weather-related damage. Maintaining rooftop units not only boosts performance but also prevents unexpected breakdowns that can disrupt your business operations.

Zoning System Configuration

In large commercial spaces, controlling the temperature in various areas is essential for comfort and efficiency. Our team installs and configures advanced zoning systems that allow you to regulate temperatures independently across different zones. This customization helps reduce energy waste and ensures that each area of your building receives optimal heating based on its needs.

Boiler Servicing & Repairs

Boilers are vital for many commercial heating systems, and regular servicing is key to their longevity. We clean burners, inspect water pressure gauges, replace valves, and perform other necessary maintenance tasks to ensure efficient heat distribution. Proper boiler maintenance reduces the likelihood of breakdowns and extends the life of your heating system, preventing costly repairs in the future.

Emergency Commercial Heating Service

Heating emergencies can happen at any time, disrupting your business operations. Our emergency heating service team is available 24/7 to quickly address issues like furnace breakdowns, control board malfunctions, and more. With fast response times and expert repairs, we work efficiently to restore heat and ensure minimal downtime, maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for your employees and customers.

Benefits of Commercial Heating Services

Boosts Energy Performance

Commercial heating systems consume significant energy. Regular professional servicing improves burner efficiency, duct sealing, and heat exchange performance. This leads to measurable energy savings and optimized heat delivery without stressing system components or driving up utility bills.

Extends Equipment Lifespan

Frequent wear and tear from long usage hours can cause premature system failure. Routine maintenance keeps internal components clean and aligned, reducing the risk of breakdowns and extending your equipment’s functional life by several years.

Enhances Indoor Comfort

Balanced heating prevents hot or cold zones, which can impact employee productivity and customer satisfaction. Proper air distribution and thermostat accuracy ensure all areas of your commercial space stay comfortable, no matter the building size or configuration.

Reduces Emergency Interruptions

Proactive repairs and inspections catch issues before they become disruptive. Eliminating small concerns early, like failing fans or dirty filters, reduces the need for last-minute repairs and helps businesses avoid heating-related service interruptions.

Supports Building Compliance

Commercial properties must follow safety and energy codes. Properly maintained heating systems help meet regional standards, avoid inspection penalties, and ensure eligibility for certifications or operational licenses, depending on building use and size.

Protects Operational Continuity

Heating failure can cause safety issues, lost revenue, and halted workflows. Regular professional service ensures critical systems remain operational during peak winter months, enabling uninterrupted facility function and greater peace of mind for management and staff.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What commercial heating systems are most commonly serviced?

Technicians regularly service commercial furnaces, rooftop units, boilers, infrared heaters, and zoning systems. These components vary in complexity and design, but all require professional maintenance to meet performance, safety, and efficiency expectations in busy commercial environments.

  • How often should commercial systems receive maintenance?

Commercial heating systems should be professionally maintained twice annually—typically before and after the heating season. This helps maintain optimal performance, improve reliability, and ensure systems stay compliant with local safety and energy regulations.

  • Will repairs interfere with normal business operations?

Most repairs are scheduled to minimize disruption. Technicians often work during off-peak hours or coordinate closely with building managers. Many tasks, including part replacements and inspections, are completed without interrupting normal business activities or causing temperature imbalances.

  • What are the early signs of commercial heating failure?

Early symptoms include inconsistent heating, unusual noises, rising energy bills, system cycling irregularities, or weak airflow. These issues can stem from blocked vents, failed sensors, thermostat faults, or aging components and should be evaluated by a licensed technician.

  • Are zoning systems beneficial for all commercial buildings?

Zoning systems are especially helpful in multi-occupant or multi-use spaces. By dividing buildings into separate heating areas, zoning systems provide more accurate temperature control, reduce energy waste, and improve comfort for employees and visitors throughout the day.

  • How long do commercial heating repairs typically take?

Repair durations vary by system size and issue severity. Minor problems like control malfunctions may be fixed within hours, while larger issues, such as blower motor or boiler repairs, could take a full day or longer. Detailed timelines follow system inspection.

  • How is commercial heating service different from residential?

Commercial systems are larger, more complex, and often serve multiple zones. They also follow stricter codes and require specialized components. Technicians must be trained in high-capacity systems, rooftop unit handling, and commercial-grade diagnostic and control tools.

You're not going to find a better HVAC company, there's no need to look! As a project manager, I have worked with Gold Star Heating & Air 100+ times. I've never had a single bad experience with them. Service is always prompt, thorough, well priced, high quality, on schedule, and professional. They stand behind their work and deliver quality service. Everything is done by the book and worry free. I have used their services in my own house as well as all of my projects. I will recommend them to anybody who needs HVAC work.

Justin M.

We woke up this morning with a very noisy furnace. We called Gold Star about 9am and they were here before 11. It was a bad blower motor. They gave us prices for motor and were able to get one. They went after it and was back and had it replaced by 1:30. This was great as we were having sub zero temperatures. I doubt the old motor would have lasted the day as it was really screeching. The gentlemen were respectful of our home and very professional. Our dog even approved.

Sharon O.

Excellent customer service that is timely and reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Colton provided highly professional service and resolved in less than an hour from calling.
